Four ways in

How to order

Over the counter is cheapest and fastest. The telephone is the one to use for a fasting order or a puran poli batch. GoTender puts it in writing. The delivery apps will bring it, at their own price.

The four, and what each is for

Cheapest

🚶 Over the counter

Shop four, Gavdavi Darshana, at Satyawan Chowk. Everything here is cooked when you ask for it, so a walk-in is not slower than a delivery — it is faster, and it costs less, because the prices on this site carry a delivery platform’s commission and packaging.

For anything unusual

📞 By telephone

+91 76662 05373. The one to use when the order needs a sentence rather than a list — what you keep on a fast, or more puran poli than a batch holds. ⚠ The same line reaches Nalini’s Kitchen in Bedekar Galli, so say which shop you want.

In writing

🛒 On GoTender

The catalogue on GoTender is this same menu with these same prices. An order there reaches the shop with the items, the quantities and your address written down rather than shouted across a counter — which matters most for the things that come in twos.

Brought to you

🛵 The delivery apps

The shop is listed on the usual platforms and that is where these prices come from. They handle the rider and the payment, they add their own fees on top, and their menu is the one to trust for what is available right now.

One number, two shops

The same family runs Nalini’s Kitchen in Bedekar Galli, and +91 76662 05373 reaches both. So when you ring, say which one you want — it saves the confused first ten seconds of the call.

⚠ A search often shows the two mixed together, and the address and the opening time it gives are usually the other shop’s. This counter is at Satyawan Chowk, Devichapada, and it opens at eight in the morning — not five in the evening, and not in Bedekar Galli. The two kitchens have different menus.

Two things worth saying when you order

If you are fasting

🪔 Say what you keep

Upvas rules differ household to household — sendha namak only, no groundnut, nothing fried outside the house. The shop can answer that in a sentence; a website cannot answer it at all. Ask at the counter or put it in the order note.

If you want puran poli

🕙 Check the window

It is made 10 to 3 and 6 to 10, and between those it is gone. For more than a few pieces — a festival, a function — ask a day ahead. Two batches a day is not two hundred pieces on demand.

What you will pay

The prices across this site are the shop’s delivery prices. A delivery menu carries the platform’s commission, the packaging and a margin for the discounts the platform runs, so the counter is normally cheaper — sometimes considerably. Treat what is here as the upper end and ask at the shop for the counter rate.

Saying so costs the shop nothing and saves the awkward moment where a neighbour arrives holding ₹110 for a cup of tea and concludes the prices have gone up.
