The psychiatric division
Illness of the brain and mind, treated medically.
Assessment, diagnosis and medical treatment of psychiatric illness, by a consultant psychiatrist. Medication is prescribed and reviewed here — it is never sold from this website.
What is treated here
This is not a complete list, and no list can tell you whether it applies to someone. It is here so you can see whether this is the right door to knock on.
Schizophrenia and other psychoses
Diagnosis, medication, review, and long-term follow-up alongside family support and rehabilitation links.
Depression
From persistent low mood through to severe depression needing inpatient care.
Bipolar disorder and mania
Including acute episodes that cannot safely be managed at home.
Anxiety and panic
Assessment, medication where it is indicated, and referral to therapy.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Medical treatment alongside therapy, with a dedicated support group (Chintan).
Addiction
Detoxification as an inpatient, then rehabilitation through linked facilities.
Cognitive and memory difficulties
Assessment of concentration, memory and thinking difficulties, with EEG and psychological testing where they help answer the question.
How treatment is given
Medical management
Prescribing, titration and review, with a physician involved where a person’s physical health needs it too.
Modified electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)
Given under anaesthesia by the centre’s own anaesthesiologist. Used in specific situations — most often severe depression, catatonia, or where a life is at immediate risk — and always discussed with the family first.
Occupational therapy
Structured daily activity as part of inpatient recovery.
About medication
It is prescribed, not sold
Psychiatric medication is prescribed here after an assessment, and reviewed in person as treatment goes on. Nothing is dispensed or sold through this website, and no medicine should ever be started, stopped or changed on the strength of something read online — including here.
It is one part of the treatment
For most people medication sits alongside talking therapy, family work and — where it helps — a support group. Which parts are needed, and for how long, is a clinical judgement made with the person and their family, not a fixed formula.

The whole team →Arrange an assessment
A first psychiatric consultation is an unhurried conversation — history, current difficulty, and what has already been tried. Bring any previous prescriptions or reports if you have them.
