Dombivli East · since 1982
44 years of standing
in exactly the right place
at exactly the right second.
Weddings, receptions, pre-wedding shoots and portraits. Maharashtrian and Bengali ceremonies, photographed by people who already know what happens next — which is the only reason anybody catches the moment the antarpat comes down.
★ 4.9 from 82 reviews on Google·10:00 am – 9:00 pm, every day
Weddings are loud, hot, running late — and completely wonderful.
Somebody's uncle will step in front of the camera at the exact moment of kanyadaan. The mandap will be lit by four different kinds of bulb, none of which agree about what colour white is. The varmala will happen in less time than it takes to read this sentence.
None of that is a problem. It is just the job — and after 44 years in one town, it is a job this studio can do while smiling, which is the point. You should be getting married, not managing your photographer.
Our promise is small and specific: you will not have to think about us once, and the photographs will be there afterwards.

Before you book anyone
Ask who is actually coming to your wedding.
It is the most useful question in this trade and almost nobody asks it. A studio is booked on a portfolio, the deposit is paid, and the photographer who turns up on the morning is somebody the couple has never spoken to — shooting work that was sold to them by somebody else's pictures.
Ask it of us and ask it of every studio you are comparing. You are booking a person for one of the longest days of your life, and you are entitled to know which person before you pay anything.
Come to the studio on Agarkar Road and meet them. It is a ten-minute conversation and it tells you more than any portfolio will.
Some of the work
Real weddings, real families, photographed in Dombivli and around it. Tap any frame to see it properly.
What we shoot
Photography, film and the album at the end of it — the same studio for all three, which is why the film and the photographs actually look like they came from the same wedding.

The nerdy bit, for anyone who wants it
You do not need to know any of this to book a photographer. But if you would like to know what you are actually paying for, here it is, in plain language and with the numbers.
🔆 Light
A mandap is lit by four different suns at once
⚡ Shutter speed
The garland does not wait for your settings
🎯 Aperture
f/1.2 is a beautiful way to photograph half a couple
🌾 ISO
Grain is a texture. Blur is a missing photograph
👁️ Focus
Focus on the eye, and take your thumb off the shutter
🎨 Colour
Haldi is yellow, the shamiana is red, and both land on her face
Things people say to photographers
All of these are said kindly and none of them are silly. Here are straight answers.
“More megapixels means better photos.”
Past about 24 megapixels you are buying print size, not quality. Focus, light and timing decide whether a photograph is good. Resolution only decides how large you can print the good one.
“Just fix it in Photoshop.”
A colour cast, a stray wire, a blemish — yes, all fixable. Motion blur, missed focus, and a moment that happened while the camera was pointed elsewhere — no. Editing rescues a photograph; it cannot invent one.
“Natural light only” is always the classier choice.
It is lovely at four in the afternoon by a window. At a reception in a hall lit by four dim chandeliers, “natural light only” usually means “dark, noisy pictures”. Knowing when to add light is as much a skill as knowing when not to.
“Candid means the photographer just wanders around.”
Candid means unposed, not unplanned. Being in the right place a few seconds before something happens takes knowing the ceremony, reading the room, and having already decided the settings.
“We’ll take the photos on our phones, it’s fine.”
Phones are genuinely excellent now — in good light, at arm’s length, for one subject. A dark mandap, a moving couple thirty feet away and a garland in flight is the exact set of conditions they are worst at.
“Give us all the raw files.”
Raws are negatives, not photographs — flat, unrated, and including every frame where somebody blinked. What you want is the finished set, and you get it. Ask, and we will happily explain what is in the ones left out.
