Eleven projects are rebuilding how you get out of Dombivli.
Worth reading before deciding what a flat here is worth in five years — and worth reading sceptically, because not one of these is open yet.
Every one of these is under construction or proposed.
None is open. Completion dates are the authorities' to give and to move, not ours — and in this corridor they have moved before. Treat the list as the reason the area is being invested in, not as a commute you can make today.
The eleven

Metro Line 12
Kalyan – Dombivli – Taloja, meeting Line 5 and Line 1. Puts Navi Mumbai and Thane on the same network as Dombivli.

Metro Line 5
Thane – Bhiwandi – Kalyan. Expected to cut the KDMC–Thane journey by 50 to 75 per cent.

Metro Line 14
Vikhroli – Kanjurmarg – Badlapur, through Ambernath, Dombivli and Airoli. Meets Line 12 near Dombivli.

Airoli–Katai Freeway
Dombivli to the Eastern Express Highway in 15–20 minutes, against 45 minutes to an hour today.

Bullet train
Mumbai–Ahmedabad. The Thane station is at Diva, close to Sai World Dreams.

Multi-modal corridor
Vasai to Alibaug through the Shilphata region, in two phases.

Samruddhi Mahamarg
Kalyan to Nagpur, through ten districts and influencing twenty-four.

Kalyan Ring Road
Titwala to Dombivli via Ambivli and Kalyan, in three phases from Katai Naka.

Mothagaon–Mankholi bridge
Dombivli to Thane–Bhiwandi, tied into the Kalyan Ring Road.

Delhi–Mumbai Expressway
Passing Kalyan and Badlapur, meeting the multi-modal corridor near Morbe.

Navi Mumbai Metro 1–4
Linked to Line 4 and Line 12, alongside the Katai–Airoli freeway and the ring road.
What already works
Since the list above is all future tense, here is the present one — the reason nine hundred families have already moved here rather than waited.
