For the trade
Your name goes on it. Ours does not.
This is a trade workshop. Most of what leaves here goes back to a manufacturer, a wholesaler or a retail jeweller who will sell it under their own name — and that has been the arrangement since 1994.

Five things to tell us
A job goes wrong at the briefing or not at all. Two minutes here saves a week.
- 1
Tell us the metal
Gold and its karat, or silver and its purity. It decides the underplate and the bath.
- 2
Tell us the finish
White, Ganga-Jamuna, pink, black or antique — and on a two-tone, which parts stay yellow.
- 3
Tell us the quantity
One piece and four hundred pieces are different jobs, with different economics.
- 4
Flag the stones
Some stones will not take heat, ultrasonic or certain chemistry. Emeralds, pearls and anything treated must be declared before the piece arrives.
- 5
Say what it is for
A display piece and a daily-wear ring want different thicknesses. Tell us and we will lay the right one.
Read this before you send
Please declare treated and delicate stones
Pearls, emeralds, opals, turquoise and many treated stones can be damaged by ultrasonic cleaning, by steam or by plating chemistry. Setting styles matter too — a stone that must be masked or unset changes the job. Tell us in advance; found out afterwards, the damage is not undoable.
If any of these are in the piece, say so on the job slip. Some can be masked, some must be unset and reset, and some mean the piece should not be plated at all — all of which are fine to know beforehand and expensive to discover afterwards.
How a job runs
Straightforward, and deliberately so.
You bring or send it
To the bench at Kanchwala Building, with the job slip saying metal, finish, quantity and stones.
We quote it
Per piece, on what the work actually is. No rate card, because a bangle and a ring in the same finish are not the same money.
We do it
Cleaned, prepared, plated or cast or polished, and checked before it is packed.
You collect
And if something is not right, it comes back to us and gets put right.
Why there are no prices on this site
Because there is no honest way to write them down. Plating is priced on the surface area, the metal, the finish and whether the piece needs masking or a barrier coat; casting on the master, the metal and the quantity. A published rate card would either be so hedged as to be useless or would be wrong for most of the work that walks in.
Describe the job and you get a real number for it. That is slower than a price list and it is the only version that holds.
