How a prescription is handled
- 1Photograph the prescription and send it on WhatsApp, or bring it to the counter.
- 2The pharmacist reads it — the drug, the strength, the quantity and who wrote it.
- 3You are told what is in stock, what it comes to, and what can be substituted.
- 4It is dispensed and delivered. The prescription stays on record where the law requires it.

Schedule H and H1. These are not sold without a prescription — not over the telephone, not as a favour, not in a hurry. Schedule H1 sales additionally go into a bound register kept for three years. Narcotic and psychotropic preparations (Schedule X) are not carried at all.
